My goal is to create beautiful oil portraits that touch people's hearts.

My lifelong passion has always been art. Though I have little formal training, I have studied various forms of painting under very accomplished professional artists and teachers. I entirely paint from my heart and have developed my own unique style of presenting features and characteristics that speak to the viewer. Faces tell amazing stories and as an artist I strive to present my subjects' faces in a manner that bring those stories to life on canvas. As a photography student, I found photos lack a certain dimension that doesn't accurately portray the essence of the subject. Through my paintings, I strive to recapture that missing dimension in a way that only oil portraits created by a gentle hand and loving heart can convey. Oil portraits dynamically capture feelings while revealing the true spirit of the individual.

As an intuitive, I have studied under and am endorsed by nationally recognized psychic-medium, Deb Sheppard and am a graduate member of her Ambassador Program. I have learned to tap into the energy of people who have departed this life and in a sense get their assistance in bringing out their personality on canvas. In this way I am able to combine my talents and my passions to capture the essence of crossed souls on canvas.

I specialize in commissioned portraits of persons departed this life but also do paintings of and for people who are living. The process generally involves doing a detailed pencil sketch of my subject(s) and then recreating the sketch in oils on canvas. I then begin the process of following my heart for guidance to bring the subject's personality to life on canvas. It still fascinates and gives me great joy that the client will generally find some little touch that I included has made the portrait special and unique. Client viewings of the finished product can often be a very emotional and warming experience.
