Portrait Creation Process

Portraits create a visual piece of genealogy for the family that will be cherished forever. Portraits are tangible memories that can be passed down for generations. Having a portrait painted is a very important undertaking for both artist and client. Regardless of its simplicity or complexity of the composition, Trish always strives to create an heirloom quality masterpiece of the highest standards.

A portrait by Trish begins with a meeting between Trish and the client. If the subject is a loved one who has crossed over, the first meeting will involve the sharing of pictures and the essence of the loved one. Together Trish and the client will choose those photographs most suitable for creating a beautiful portrait.

If the subject is living Trish can conduct a photo session with the subject. Trish will familiarize herself with the personality and characteristics of the individual. The client and Trish will then decide on which photographs will be used in creating that portrait.

A journal will be kept by Trish during the making of the portrait of any information that comes through. This journal will be yours to keep if you wish to have it.

Additional meetings may be made when portrait is in progress just to view portrait or to make suggestions. At that time any minor changes and approval of clients will be needed. The client's suggestions and needs are always of great importance.

The size and cost will be determined at the first meeting with Trish. No cost to the client is occurred at the first meeting. Artist travel expenses, framing costs, shipping fees and any state or city sales tax, where applicable are additional and due at portrait's finish. A one third non-refundable deposit is required with a signed Service Agreement. A second payment of one third is due with the additional meeting. The balance is due when the completed portrait is delivered to and accepted by the client.
